Propagroup is at the forefront in terms of environmental respect

Thanks to the support of @greenSMEhub, we have successfully implemented a project aimed at integrating our business strategy with actions identified to mitigate environmental impact and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of quantifying the company's carbon footprint has been achieved by following the requirements of the ISO 14064 standard, considering direct industrial processes and the upstream and downstream supply chain.

The process included:

• Analysis of advanced technological solutions (renewables, energy efficiency, recycled and bio-based materials)
• Engagement of internal and external stakeholders
• Review of our business model to embrace an integrated vision of environmental, economic, and social sustainability

Examples of improvement actions in the new strategic plan include the installation of a photovoltaic system and new boilers and heat pumps, resulting in an increase in energy efficiency and a decrease in energy consumption from the grid, leading to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs.
