SHOCKLOG
Environmental conditions, shock and vibration recorder
Complete analysis for high-value equipment protection.
The SHOCKLOG recorders represent the most complete solution for continuous monitoring of shocks, vibrations and environmental conditions during transport, storage and handling of critical equipment. Using precision triaxial piezoelectric accelerometers, these devices record direction, amplitude and duration of each event, providing detailed information for damage cause analysis.
The range includes the SHOCKLOG 298 which records up to 870 shock and vibration events, time intervals and data summary. With GPS, TR (tilt and roll) and wireless communication options. The SHOCKLOG 248 which provides detailed graphs of the 15 most significant events and also records date and time of 128 events (not detailed) in the summary. The SHOCKLOG Cellular GL for real-time notifications on any shocks and vibrations along the supply chain with precise localization. Ideal for oil platforms, laser equipment, power transformers and nuclear materials, these recorders include additional sensors for temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. The dedicated Windows software facilitates data configuration and analysis, allowing optimization of packaging and transport processes and precise identification of responsibilities in case of damage.
Problems solved by this product
For all companies that need to guarantee to their customers services and finished intact products is very important to solve impact problems during transportation and storage of goods. Sensitive to these topics, Propagroup works successfully for the impact products realization, through production and selling of a new range of articles and systems that allow to limit possible damages caused by sudden movements or impacts during transportation, starting from Shockwatch till air bags. To carry delicate goods are available the following impact products: Propaflex, a product studied for steel and cable manufacturers, made of a smooth inner surface and an undulated outer one to reduce friction with other materials; Propafix, a self-sizing corner protection adaptable to all packing sizes; Propablank, dunnage bags to steady loads during road transport and in freight containers. Propack solves then every problem connected to handling and packaging disposal, it also offers a new line of dispositive, products and instruments to control every kind of material handling and, monitoring their movements, avoid potential damages caused by rough movements.
Transportation monitoring systems are advanced technological solutions designed to control in real-time the environmental and physical conditions of goods during the supply chain. These devices allow monitoring of critical parameters such as temperature, humidity, shocks, vibrations and tilting, ensuring the integrity of sensitive products and preventing significant economic losses through complete traceability of every shipment.
Temperature monitoring for the cold chain uses indicators and temperature loggers that immediately signal when predetermined thermal limits are exceeded. These instruments are essential for critical sectors such as pharmaceutical, food, chemical and biotechnology, where even brief thermal excursions can permanently compromise product quality and safety. The generated documentation facilitates regulatory compliance and supports the management of insurance claims.
A ShockLog environmental recorder is capable of working on 3 axes.
ShockLog environmental recorders can be powered with alkaline or lithium batteries, i.e. rechargeable batteries. The battery life of the ShockLog will change depending on the type of batteries.
Monitoring systems find strategic application in the pharmaceutical industry to maintain drug efficacy, in the food sector to preserve the cold chain, in precision electronics where shocks and vibrations can compromise delicate components. Other critical sectors include the transport of artworks, scientific instruments, medical equipment and all high-value products that require optimal transport conditions and complete documentation of their status during handling.
A ShockLog can record up to 870 events and 262,000 time slots.
The implementation of monitoring systems offers a tangible ROI (Return On Investment) through the reduction of costs arising from damages and returns, which represents the most immediate benefit. The improvement of service quality increases customer satisfaction and strengthens corporate reputation. The devices provide objective documentation to handle complaints, facilitate the identification of unreliable logistics suppliers and allow for negotiating more favorable insurance conditions. Systematic data collection supports predictive analysis to optimize packaging, transport routes and storage methods.
Controlled preservation system that maintains temperature-sensitive products within specific temperature ranges during transport, storage and distribution. Cold chain monitoring uses thermal indicators and temperature recorders to prevent thermal breaks that could compromise the effectiveness of drugs, vaccines and biological products, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Electronic device reusable or single-use designed to automatically record environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure during transport and storage. Data loggers generate detailed reports with charts and statistics to ensure regulatory compliance and predictive analysis of the supply chain, particularly critical for pharmaceutical and food products.
Internet of Things applied to monitoring systems for real-time transmission of environmental and movement data through 4G/5G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. IoT monitoring devices enable remote control, automatic alerts, cloud dashboards and integration with ERP/WMS systems, offering complete visibility over the supply chain and timely intervention capabilities.
Tamper-proof shock indicators that detect and irreversibly signal potentially damaging impacts during transportation and handling of goods. When the device experiences a shock exceeding the preset G-level, the red liquid contained inside leaks out, visibly coloring the signaling area, providing indisputable evidence of improper handling and serving as a deterrent for logistics operators.
Ability to monitor and completely document the journey and conditions experienced by a product throughout the entire supply chain. Traceability in monitoring includes recording physical and environmental parameters, critical events, GPS location and precise timestamps, ensuring objective evidence for insurance claims, regulatory compliance and optimization of logistics processes through data analysis.
Precision sensor that measures acceleration along the three spatial axes (X, Y, Z) to detect shocks, vibrations and movements during handling and transport. The accelerometers used in monitoring systems allow to identify harmful events and correlations between mechanical stress and damage to sensitive products.
