The "Propasil in Tyvek" desiccant bags, on June 6, 2024, were registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by filing a Type III Drug Master File (DMF). Drug Master Files (DMF) are documents submitted to the FDA used to provide confidential and detailed information on facilities, processes, or articles used in the manufacturing, processing, packaging, and storage of pharmaceutical products for human use. A Type III DMF provides fundamental information for evaluating materials used to package pharmaceutical products in order to assess any negative interactions that may adversely compromise the integrity of the drug itself.
